100 Year Anniversary Video
To commemorate the 100-year anniversary of The Beverly Hills Hotel, we hosted a weekend celebration from June 15 to 17, 2012, to benefit the Motion Picture Television Fund and the Hollywood entertainment industry. In honor of this weekend benefit, we asked Academy Award- winning filmmaker Chuck Workman to create a short film that would tell the story of the fabled past and rich film industry heritage of The Beverly Hills Hotel and its Polo Lounge. We also had some help from a few very special friends, including Lauren Bacall, Warren Beatty, Mary J Blige, Clive Davis, Michael Douglas, Jimmy Fallon and Jeffrey Katzenberg. When I introduced the film for its debut on Saturday, June 16, I remarked that while the hotel has welcomed all of Hollywood's biggest celebrities, the real star remains The Beverly Hills Hotel.
